Terms of Service

1. Who We Are and Agreement to These Terms

TRYLZ ("the Platform") is operated by The Soccer Group Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. You can contact us at hello@trylz.com.

By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Platform. These Terms apply together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of your agreement with us.

2. What TRYLZ Is

TRYLZ is a football opportunity platform. We help players build a football profile, find trials, academies and other opportunities, and we run TRYLZ trial days. In these Terms, "TRYL" means a trial: a real-world football trial day or similar event.

The Platform includes player profiles, opportunity listings, AI tools (including our scouting and coaching agents), and related features. We reserve the right to add, change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service at any time.

We are not a football club, academy, agency or employment agency. We do not act as your agent or representative, and we do not negotiate on your behalf.

3. Eligibility and Parental Consent

You must be at least 16 years old to use TRYLZ. If you are 16 or 17, you may only use the Platform with the consent of a parent or guardian, who must agree to these Terms on your behalf, and you confirm that you have that consent. If you are 18 or over, you confirm that you can enter into a binding agreement with us.

We may ask for evidence of your age or of parental consent, and we may suspend or close an account if it is not provided.

Where a trial or opportunity is organised by a third party, that party's own age limits and eligibility rules apply in addition to ours.

4. Your Account

You must give accurate, current and complete information when you create your account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account.

Tell us immediately at hello@trylz.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.

We may suspend or close any account that contains false or misleading information, including a misstated age, identity, club history or playing level.

5. Subscriptions, Payments and Cancellation

Some parts of TRYLZ are free and some features require a paid subscription. Where you pay, the following applies:

• Payments are processed by our payment provider (currently Stripe). We do not store your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time before your renewal date by contacting us at hello@trylz.com.
• Prices, currency and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. We may change our prices with reasonable notice before your next renewal.
• If you are a consumer in the UK or the EEA you may have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. If you ask us to begin the paid service immediately, you acknowledge that you lose that cancellation right once the service has started.
• Refunds are handled in line with your statutory rights. Contact us within 14 days of a charge if you believe a refund is due.
• Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

6. Your Content and the Licence You Give Us

You keep ownership of the content you give us, such as your profile details, football history and video footage. So that we can run the Platform, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, review, reformat and display your content for the purpose of providing the Platform.

This includes sharing your profile and footage with clubs, academies, scouts or event organisers where that is necessary to assess you or to progress an opportunity you have asked about, and displaying it on a public profile page.

We will not make your profile publicly visible unless you turn on public visibility or give us permission. For anyone under 18, we will only share content beyond what is needed to assess them with the consent of a parent or guardian.

You must own your content or have permission to use it. Do not upload footage that belongs to someone else, footage of other people filmed without their knowledge, or footage containing music you do not have the rights to use. You are responsible for the content you submit, and you confirm that anyone else identifiable in your footage has agreed to it being used as described in these Terms (and, if they are under 18, that their parent or guardian has agreed).

We may remove any content at any time if we believe it breaches these Terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any regulation
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity, age, club or playing level
• Submit footage that is not yours to submit, or that was filmed without the knowledge of the people in it
• Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information in your player profile
• Harass, abuse, threaten or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, or to bypass any paywall, usage limit or access control
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, copy or extract data from the Platform
• Transmit any virus, malware or other harmful code
• Use the Platform in a way that damages or overloads our systems or those of our providers

8. AI-Generated Content and Assessments

TRYLZ uses AI to generate coaching advice, opportunity suggestions and player assessments. This content is for information and education only. It is not professional football coaching, medical, legal, financial or immigration advice, and it may be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important with a qualified coach, doctor or adviser before acting on it, particularly anything relating to training load, injury or medical matters.

Our ratings and the TRYLZ Verified badge record our own assessment at a point in time. They are not a governing body certification, a licence, or a guarantee of ability, and clubs make their own judgements about every player.

9. Trials, Opportunities and Third Parties

This section contains important limits on what TRYLZ is and what we promise:

• Opportunities are listed by third parties such as clubs, academies and organisers. We try to present them accurately, but we do not control them and cannot guarantee that a listing is accurate, complete, current or still available, or that an event will go ahead.
• A TRYL invitation means we have invited you to attend a TRYLZ trial day. It is not a contract, a place in an academy, an offer of employment or a promise of selection.
• Selection and outcomes are always at the discretion of the club, coach or organiser. We do not guarantee that you will be selected, signed or offered any opportunity.
• We are not a party to any agreement between you and a third party, and we are not a football agency. You should verify an opportunity, and the party offering it, before committing time, money or travel.
• You are responsible for your own decisions, travel, accommodation, insurance, medical cover, visas and costs, and for checking your own eligibility, including nationality and immigration rules, before you travel.
• Club, league and competition names, badges and marks belong to their respective owners. We use them only to describe a genuine listing, and this does not imply any affiliation, partnership or endorsement.

10. Safeguarding and Players Under 18

Trials and opportunities involving players under 18 need extra care. Where a third party organises a trial or session, we expect them to have their own safeguarding policies and to comply with local law. We do not supervise their sessions, venues or staff, and we are not responsible for their conduct.

A player under 18 should not attend a trial without the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and should be accompanied where the organiser or local law requires it. If you have a concern about the safety or conduct of any adult or organisation you have contact with through TRYLZ, tell us straight away at hello@trylz.com.

11. Intellectual Property

The Platform, our brand, text, design, software and AI models, and the TRYLZ and TRYL names, belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, resell, or create derivative works from the Platform without our written permission, other than using it normally as a player. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without restriction or payment.

If you believe content on TRYLZ infringes your rights, email hello@trylz.com with details and we will review it.

12. Availability and Changes to the Service

We aim to keep TRYLZ available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may carry out maintenance, and features, including free features and usage limits, may change or be withdrawn.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and conditions that are not expressly set out in these Terms. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss or damage
• Loss of data, profit, opportunity or reputation
• Anything you do in reliance on AI-generated content or on an opportunity listing
• The acts, omissions or decisions of third-party clubs, academies, organisers or other users
• Events outside our reasonable control

Where we are liable to you, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected, and these limits apply only so far as the law allows.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these Terms, from content you submit, or from your misuse of the Platform.

15. Termination

You may stop using TRYLZ and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Platform.

When your account ends, your right to use the Platform stops. Clauses that by their nature should continue to apply, including your content licence, disclaimers, liability limits and governing law, survive termination.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EEA, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live and may be entitled to bring proceedings there.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will give notice by email or on the Platform before they take effect. Continuing to use TRYLZ after that means you accept the updated Terms.

18. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us. If any part of them is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we delay in enforcing a term, that is not a waiver of it. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another organisation, and we will tell you if we do.
